We started by buying Mattie Brown – Clio & Lucy Gypsy Princess – Tessa in 1993 ; which to this day we still have Tessa reaching the age of 12 years old. But unfortunately my special first girl Clio had to be put to rest, April 2005 because of a tumour. So loved & missed.

We were granted the affix Croftonbar by the Kennel Club in 1996. We are a small friendly kennels in the North West of England, dedicated to showing dogs of quality and that perfect Labrador temperament. All our labradors have good hip scores and hold clear eye certificates, to ensure that our puppies are the best we can offer. My dogs are allowed to roam free & not kennelled up. They are allowed to do as they please….within reason (“,) We live opposite a park…so the dogs are walked & trained daily…& are well known as well behaved dogs.
We keep a record of where all our pups have gone…& like to know of their progress. New owners get life time support if required, and we will always take a puppy back if for any reason the owners cannot keep it. I would hate to think that a dog I bred ended up in rescue. And from time to time I may know of other labradors need rehoming…& me being soft…like to help where I can!
And not forgetting our precious boy Jack…..who was owned & showed by Rhodenash kennels.Since taking him away from the the limelight of showing, he has shown to be a wonderful gentle stud dog & proven to choc & black pups only.( see stud dogs
